So far, so good. Box doesn't look damaged. However, a gentle shake and you can hear metal contacting metal.

Still not looking too bad.

I can live with that.

Okay?
DSCN0230_zps9aa386fb.jpg

Seriously? $1600 worth of injectors, protected by a single piece of butcher paper? No bubble wrap? Not even a handful of packing peanuts?

Second box, same deal.

Result: two inectors with cracked solenoids

And to top it all off, it appears that they replaced the HPO side o-rings but didn't bother to replace the lower two.

The copious amounts of greed thread locking compound was an especially nice touch. No doubt to prevent me from being able to remove the solenoid and confirm that they had in fact corrected the armature clearance issues.

The butcher paper is a nice touch but trash bags would have been a better choice.

Holy chit! A vendor sent those out like that? Not sure if that's mfi's log but I'd hope not. Doesn't seem like something they'd do

The lack of correct packing material sucks for sure but the 2 lower Orings are going to look "used" since they were probably flowed and some benches mark them up a little upon on removal and installation. Just saying, don't really understand the "packaging" though...

Not that I would buy from mfi anyway, but with that I definitely without a doubt wouldn't now

I'm sick over this whole ordeal. I paid MFI for these injectors (a simple set of 160/100's) on 5/08/14. At that point they were still relatively new to the injector game, but their reputation for quality in the 6.0/6.4/6.7 world led me to believe there wouldn't be issues.
In the four-and-a-half month period since then, I've put 850 miles on the truck.
I've thrown parts at the truck to try and resolve issues I were told could not be from the injectors.
$200 for an IPR
$150 for an ICP
$800 for a Honey Badger HPOP.
$200 in oil changes every time I've had the injectors out (this is now the third time).

I gave MFI an ultimatum last week while they still had my injectors. Refund my money and ship me a set of cores.
They refused, and instead 'over-nighted' the same set of broke dik injectors back to me, packed with $0.75 of butcher paper.
Now I've got a set of injectors of unknown quality, with broken solenoids which are glued on.

Thats not green loctite. thats just anti-tamper dye... You use it to make sure the customer doesn't undue the fastener. If they do then they know you were fooling around cause it breaks offs

I got some from a vendor that were honestly packaged worst than that all 8 were in a 12" by 8" box with barley any bubble wrap between. Honestly I was so pissed I just threw them on the shelf now I'm wondering how many solenoids are broken I better go check....

Here are some pics I just snapped of them... seems like the solenoids were all hitting something. I attached a picture is this anything serious? Seems like all of them have it one is a little worse than this one.

Feel free to invite them. I'd love to hear how they ****ed up an injector build not once, not twice, but three times now.

So as a paying customer I have no right to remove solenoids (which are now broken) and confirm that armature clearance is within an acceptable range?

What vendor did you buy those from?
At least they had the courtesy to throw a couple chunks of bubble wrap and some o-rings in the box.

New o rings...They were supposed to be sent and flow checked and sent back... I'm gonna leave the vendor out of it. It was kinda a weird deal they were a customers who had a few hooks on them and they were selling them for him but like I said they were suppose to be flow checked.. but anyways I bought them via PayPal through one of there employees because he said it was easier for him to keep records strait that way.. I'm not really b itching I got 300/200 without a core charge for cheap just wishing they would of packed it better

Does MFI stand for Mike Farmer Injectors? :p

Looks like the shipping quality and issues are about the same...

In all honesty, I would take my old 200/100 Sureflows any day over these pieces of ****.
I at least got a few thousand miles on them before issues popped up.

Wish I would have had that luck with the Farmer hybrids I bought. Went thru 2 sets trying to get them right and the 2nd set ran worse than the 1st. Issue after issue, just as you described in your original post. Then there was the condition when shipped. More packing then yours but damaged boxes, nothing protecting the nozzles, loose solenoids, etc etc...

I just got them back from Nate at Unlimited getting massively fixed. The only thing reusable was the nozzles. They're going back in tomorrow. Hopefully this fixes over a year of issues.
