DIY transmission rebuild kit...

Is there a DIY rebuild kit offered through anyone for an E4OD or 4R100? I think I could rebuild one myself with a decent manual.

Suncoast has a master rebuild kit. Has more clutches in it.

I got mine from ebay, Alto makes it, ATSG manual and you can't go wrong, in the process of reassembling mine right now, cake walk

What all special tools did you need?

Some threaded rod and i made a spring compressor for installing the intermediate return spring

I want to do this but am afraid of messing it up

How big is the rod and what thread on it?

2, 6 inch pieces that need to fit into the reverse hub in the back of the trans, and when you make your spring compressor they need to thread into the front pump bolt holes, when you go buy the rod, just take the bolts with you and match it, make sure you get a few nuts to lock down the compressor, ill post pics of mine in a bit

get a spare trans to work on, should lessen your fears

Well I just saw he doesn't tune anymore. Last time I had tried to contact him was about getting tunes for my truck a few months ago.
