Wtf is a cookie? Must be really stale to smooth out a block.

Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

I was wondering the same thing - I am guessing cookie = abrasive cleaning discs

Pretty much, just a nylon abrasive disc. Basically use them to get all the old gasket material, rusty crud an debris off the deck surface. That way the new gaskets have a goo clean surface to adhere to.

You want some? I can send you one of each to give a try... You may like them better. They are more forgiving IMO since the bristles spread out and in a sense spread out the pressure if you will..

Ive never used them on jobs for head studs. I used them in other applications. They are deff a different feel then the pads, and I use them too. I have green and yellow for sure. I think I may have the whites.

This is all we use here. Some good surface prep solution and let that sit on the block while the heads are being taken care of, then clean all the prep solution off, wipe it clean, use a titanium flat knife to get big stuff (make sure this piece is very flat), and then run over it with the bristle discs lightly until it is clean to the feel (still probably looks like hell).

Never had one come back yet.

Well we are going to try a few sets of these out. Just ordered some 6.0 and some 6.4 stuff and will hopefully have results sometime this month!
