What tires are you going to run? 40 gallons of diesel only weighs about 290 pounds, and that's if it's full to the brim. One 37x1350R17 Toyo MT weights 93 pounds plus a 25 pound wheel for each tire and you're looking at 236 pounds ALL the time if you carry two spares. Plus you can hang tires further back and lower and you don't have to worry about a fuel tank getting hit by something. I vote tires hanging off the back with a fuel cell right in front of them.

You have many good points. I was thinking about the full time weight of the tires vs the ever changing weight of the fuel but just never figured the weights.


But yes I want to run the 37 toyos but buying 6 of them doesn't sound fun
