Fwiw gen 3 don't shear GOOD oil bad at all only thing I would run. Simple design and replacement pumps for them are cheap

The Sr will be released...We took a 6 month hit after extreme testing exposed the stock housing. We are working very hard to get the Sr. to market. The good news is the old design peformed well beyond expectations, so well, in fact, a major distributor will be buying the dealer rights to the Sr. We almost have no choise but to complete the project.

So how much longer till its released? And how much is it going to cost to modify the hbjr to the Sr? Since everyone thinks it going to be cheap

From what I've read the Jr uses stock sized pistons like a factory pump, t500, Adrenaline, and the Sr uses larger pistons in a stock housing like the SRP1/SRP1.1

If that's true what will make the Sr more reliable then the SRP pumps?

Probably different alloys to make the pistons and cylinder block.

T-500 uses stock pistons, different swash plate to increase stroke so displacement goes up.

I honestly don't think Gary would be bashed so much, if he worked with the customers that supported him. You take a chance on any part that is aftermarket performance. Especially something that isn't a main stream, mass produced item. But with all the stuff I have purchased, I have never been ignored multiple times like that, when reaching out to someone. I would have been more than happy to work with him on getting my issue resolved. But charging 250 dollars to tear down and reseal, plus pay for any worn parts on top of that. To fix a what was then a 800 pump that self destructed in 6000 miles. Especially now that it seems that it's a common problem. So he must know what the issue at hand is. I made the decision to core that thing.

That would be a huge hit for all of the people that have already purchased the Jr. It was my understanding from a lot of people that they were purchasing it to get them by until they could upgrade to the SR. I suspect DynoProven will do something though to make things straight.
I definitely commend them for putting it through its paces before ever releasing it. They watched the SRP1 and 1.1 fail miserably and took the necessary precautions.
Same boat as the T1000. Why release something when the competitor is currently ruining his name and failing terribly. I would be sitting back, continuing to test/perfect my product, and waiting it out.

It can be..the question is... do we still want to do it. If the ultimate decision is no, all those customers who purchased the Jr. to upgrade to the Sr. will be well taken care of. Most, if not all, of those particular customers have been contacted and arrangements have been put in place. We will never let buying customers hold the short end of the stick. All will be made right on a customer to customer basis.

Cause we can make it better!!! We didn't want to go this route, trust me.
We had a hugh deal in place to distrbute the pump. We were ready to go. BUT....We started to see the shortcomings of the housing. We could of easily released it and made a hugh killing!!! Jonathan, Cassie and myself decided it would not be right to do so when we know how to make it better. We don't have a price set yet.

Time frame is....when it's as perfect as we want it. I know that sucks but now is not the time to rush a pump til we know it's the market standard.

The upgrade is still being debated. Jonathan will make that call.

damn, now that is awesome how you guys are taking care of this stuff. Wish Gary would stand behind his product like this. I may end up just swapping over to a SR when they come out. Nice!!

Wonder what'll be said about the HB Sr and the T1000 once there's a couple hundred out there with thousands of miles on em. A couple years back the Adrenaline was supposedly a POS that could barely support 100% nozzles with big PW tunes. The BTS duals were pricey. ..the Termy Duals leaked and stressed front covers, the Swamps Gen3 shears oil like there's no tomorrow...and on and on.

And now the SRP 101st Airborne sky is falling...

Do you guys think it's in a pump builders interest to say 39 out of 200 returns was a valid return if it wasn't the truth? Can you imagine the headaches Joey has had over the years from hard heads bashing his stuff? I can only hope dyno proven has the patience of Job (you know...that dude from the bible) too.

Internet forums provide a venue for fiction....to become fact. I'd do my math, and then double check it, before making any conclusions. ..especially on a subject like 7.3 hpops...lol

Seriously...put yourself in Terminator's, Dyno proven, or Stechers shoes for a bit...no way I'd take on building a medium oil single hpop for a truck that hasn't been built in 10 years. We're lucky to have the choices we do imo.

All that said...products that work...and are supported post purchase. ..well. ..it's why Unlimited Diesel is in my signature, and why I recommend Gearhead tuning....and why I appreciate the other great vendors that support this forum.

Are you saying that everybody who is running an srp1.1 that has identical issues and then the pump either completely shtis the bed or won't hold icp at normal eot is jumping to conclusions? And there's no way there are 39. The threads like this one are easily interchangeable as of late. "Truck died, wont build icp, lopes when warm, truck starts really hard hot, etc" the testimonies are interchangeable. Holding 2400psi isn't working properly. The horrible part is when one puts an srp in it works great for 2k miles then issues start popping up and since the pump is "new" you instantly check everything else. I know I did. I went 2k more frustrating miles blaming cps issues, wiring, ipr etc. and until I saw it incapable of building icp while cranking and also losing its ability to build 3600 psi at wot as typical, I never questioned the pump. When I concentrated solely on the pump, it became obvious.

Fyi, alot of the lope and idle issues can be attributed to the parts in the pump being shat into the hpo circuit. That is not myth becoming fact vref, that is a sad reality. Golfer even said he's picked srp out of poppet valves. No big mystery to be found unless you're intentionally looking for one, imo.

These forums are a strange phenomena. But that last post you kinda left it hanging like these pumps aren't really dropping left and right. They may still allow the truck to be started but are 99% unreliable. Random dying at low icp situations.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words but I expect Gary to pull the plug on these pumps. His reputation is trashed because he isn't taking care of anybody. He's charging upwards of 250 bucks to get you through your next 5k miles. I hope he gets it figured out.

I'm gonna let this go. No point in beating a dead horse any further.

I dont think they are dropping left and right.
yours sounds dead as it wont hold pressure
kind of hard for the manufacturer to take care of the issue if you dont send it to him.
if you arent going to send it in at least open it up and post the pics of what broke
