Lol that's what I told the guy that gave me the quote. 8k doesn't seem too bad. A lot better than what I was told.

My zf6 finally gave up. I'm considering doing a swap for a built automatic. I got a quote for the swap from a company that was for 12-15k. Just wondering if that seemed high.

Do you have a different stereo installed than the factory one? I know after I installed my new stereo my air bag light has been staying on ever since. Haven't had any way to scan for it. Maybe give you a place to start lookin..

Same thing was happening to me about 2 months ago the light would come on then go off. I had autozone check it while it was in the truck and it said it was ok, pulled the alternator out a few days later and had em check it on their bench and it ended up being bad.

Yeah it had me runnin kinda hot, glad I got it taken care of. The guy I bought it from lives in stephenville and never had a problem with it there. Just some bad luck out here
