Well I got a bunch of parts and went a different direction from when I first started this idea. Got everything from Kill Devil Diesel and went with Wagler rods, KDD .020 coated pistons, new KDD heads and just going to keep stock power level for now that I have a baby on the way!

Well I’m still alive. Hopefully starting the build in April this year. I took a different position at work as a truck driver/rigger/crane operator in training, so I’ll be working on it as much as possible as I work mostly on the road.

So I'm thinking of going a different direction with my build. I'm thinking of keeping the compounds, I actually got my hands on a internally waste gated turbo off a Cummins QSX15. Measurements are 84mm compressor with a .69 AR and the exhaust is a 107mm with a 1.19 AR. My question is will this...

It was just a thought haha. I been watching engine masters on YouTube and it had me thinking about porting my heads lol

How hard is it to port and polish these cylinder heads on your own, In your garage, with die grinders and what not? And would it be worth it

Currently happening now. Finally got around to taking it apart. Going to inspect all the parts and take what's best from each block. Can I mix and match good rods from two different engines?

How good will it do on stock fuel for now?

Yeah nice to be starting to work on it again. I haven't been lurking around here for over a year (surprised it didn't ask me to change my pw) and I haven been to up to date on the latest and greatest, I was looking at singles and see they have a SXE series for the s366 I plan on running, what's...

Well I rebuild plenty of engines at work so I hope all that "skill" will transfer to the light duty diesel world [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I rather build mine. I feel it's more impressive to have a high horse truck and you do all the work your self in the garage. I would do more if I had the space to do fabrication, probably build a compound set up. Anyways I got the original block up on the stand. 140$ bucks from harbor freight...

The machine shop will need the crank, rods and pistons right? Or do they need the block too?

So if I'm running a single turbo, and have a fully balanced rotating assembly with fully upgraded valve train... how many RPMs could I safely turn? But would it be a good idea to balance the rotating assembly? Or is it not worth it? Pros cons?

Cool man. Still have my email? And a correction to my earlier statement. Has anyone heard the pros and cons yet of SIDE ACTION DIESELS performance lifter yet? I know they been out for three years now but haven't heard good or bad
