the one in my pulling truck held a lot more than that but running in low side on the transfer helps take load off the trans. should be fine in either side as long as you don't abuse it to much by ding things like dumping the clutch

the jaws and lock mechanism that is inside the door. I got one out of a front door in it now but the lock is set up different on the back doors so it wont work
