I'm assuming his shorty is 4WD, if so - the F250 fuel tank won't fit. He'll need to use the fuel tank from a RCSB 4WD F150. I don't remember the years, but I think any of them will be fine. The sending unit that comes with the F150 tank will work, they operate on the same ohms.

Would that console fit in a regular cab truck?

Let me explain something to you... If you want to seriously sell something, buyers want the information provided to them; not to go around and hunt for the information themselves. They're not going to beg you to sell it to them, especially with a bad transmission... and they definitely do not...
