Buying a 2016
Bought the truck yesterday. Get it later this week. Still can't believe difference from my 6.0. I assume there is no need for egt gauge towing all stock? Had to watch old truck on the roads here lots of hills.- 560puller

Buying a 2016
Looking at a 2016 350 DRW with the 4.30's and tow package (wide front axle). Any concerns with the trans if truck stays at stock power levels? May shed weight later but plan to tow tractors with it so not looking for more power. Thanks for any thoughts.- 560puller

guys with CCV re routes
Mine does it to. Especially towing heavy. Might want to run hose to rear of truck. I ran mine back and dumped it at fuel tank.- 560puller

Pulling cab with forklift
I still think pulling cab is waste of time. A/C box comes out in a snap. Remove heat shield and sound deadner off firewall carefully and massage behind bolt on driver's side head with a air hammer. You can't see it after you reinstall heat shield. I really think they're easy compared to...- 560puller

05 6L Head Gasket Repair
Cab on isn't that bad. Just takes longer. If you have the time and patience it's not a big deal. -

Thinking about a '15
Checked a few out yesterday at the dealer I used to wrench at. Guess its time to see what the market is to sell the 6.0. The aluminum would be nice but I don't really want to wait.- 560puller

Thinking about a '15
Thinking about buying a new truck. Have a 6.0 now and tow 12 to 15k regular with it. How will a 15 stock compare to a 6.0 tuned towing? Using gearhead heavy tow tunes now. Stock injectors and turbo. I have zero egt issues with this setup just want a new truck and really like the looks of...- 560puller

P0087, P0088, reduced engine power
I see this a lot with equipment. We were told problem is created when same tankers are used to haul diesel and junk ethanol gas. We have filters on fuel going into and out of everything now. Also test fuel constantly. The issue is suppliers won't fix it until someone makes them. P -

Bad miss and multiple codes.
Check wiring harness going over passenger valve cover to see if its rubbed on cover. No 4x4 light means motor is suck as contact is in motor for light. You can remove it and turn it manually for temp fix but more than likely will need motor. -

highest towing horsepower
I tow 14000 on a regular basis. Studs, deleted, exhaust, and gearhead heavy tow tune. If you want a toy build a toy, if you want to tow heavy leave it alone. I have no egt issues and plenty of power. The stock turbo is fine for towing heavy and easy to control temps with.- 560puller

Cooling Fan Question
Finally got a chance to test some things. The auto meter gauge showed 25 degrees more the ect with snap-on scanner. This is only on slower speed uphill pull with trailer. Guage sending unit is in plate on oil cooler which is definitely not a good spot. Delta is perfect and never more than...
