    Buying a 2016

    Bought the truck yesterday. Get it later this week. Still can't believe difference from my 6.0. I assume there is no need for egt gauge towing all stock? Had to watch old truck on the roads here lots of hills.

    Looking at a 2016 350 DRW with the 4.30's and tow package (wide front axle). Any concerns with the trans if truck stays at stock power levels? May shed weight later but plan to tow tractors with it so not looking for more power. Thanks for any thoughts.

    Checked a few out yesterday at the dealer I used to wrench at. Guess its time to see what the market is to sell the 6.0. The aluminum would be nice but I don't really want to wait.

    P0087, P0088, reduced engine power

    I see this a lot with equipment. We were told problem is created when same tankers are used to haul diesel and junk ethanol gas. We have filters on fuel going into and out of everything now. Also test fuel constantly. The issue is suppliers won't fix it until someone makes them. P

    Bad miss and multiple codes.

    Check wiring harness going over passenger valve cover to see if its rubbed on cover. No 4x4 light means motor is suck as contact is in motor for light. You can remove it and turn it manually for temp fix but more than likely will need motor.

    I tow 14000 on a regular basis. Studs, deleted, exhaust, and gearhead heavy tow tune. If you want a toy build a toy, if you want to tow heavy leave it alone. I have no egt issues and plenty of power. The stock turbo is fine for towing heavy and easy to control temps with.
