Part # S6340E

The Snap-on 3/8" Drive 3-1/8" T40 Bit Socket, No. S6340E, is the tool for servicing injectors on the Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel Engine. This tool allows users to remove and install hold-down fasteners. According to the manufacturer, a regular length T40 bit socket is too short and a long T40 bit socket is too long when used with a ratchet or torque wrench and will not fit the application. The S6340E has a 3-1/8" length and is specially made for the removal and reassembly of Ford Power Stroke 6.0L diesel injectors.

I made my own and I also have the snap on bit. They come in handy especially on 5, and 7 like another member stated.

I've been running mine for a while on stock injectors and like it a lot. I couldn't imagine a 205 with this setup, probably way more fuel than necessary. I'd really like to do 175/50's at some point.

I would highly recommend upgraded CAC boots while you're in there. I put the Riffraff units in mine. Found two of my factory boots had splits in them. The one coming right off the turbo was slightly cracked underneath, causing oil spray everywhere. Also found the passenger side boot at the intercooler cracked on the bottom as well. Mine were original with about 120k on them though. With the RiffRaff boots on I blew the turbo one right off the first time I hammered on it. Took it off and did a thorough cleaning and reinstalled and haven't had an issue since. Maxes my 35psi gauge like nothing.

i just put the s362fmw in my 2007 with Maryland performance diesel's t4 up pipes and really like the set up with Innovatives extreme x. Runs great with stock injectors. I want to do the tranny next though before 190/100s.

Nice, I love the setup. I would probably go with a smaller nozzle size on those 190's for the 62 though. I'm looking at 175/50's myself. Matt Kubik said he ran this 62 with 205/50's or 205/75's and said it actually did surprisingly well. Said it wasn't exactly smoke free, but cleaned it up pretty nice.

Well Ive been on the road working and havent had time to work on my pickup. my 205/100 i got from another member unfortunately didnt work out. I have gone in depth even more on this project and will possibly be running a CED compound kit that my sisters boyfriend had on his pickup. if all goes well it will be the S362fmw with a S480(fingers crossed). injector choice will probably be 175/75 for this setup to keep it towin capable with stock transmission for now. I also started building my own fuel system and will be using 2 bosch 044 fuel pumps in parallel along along with the revised beans fuel sump and a fuel bowl delete i made myself. Along with this it is getting a 05-07 front clip and 6.4 mirror. Pickup will be sitting all winter in the shop and slowly adding things. Perfection is the key on this. If the deal with my buddies compounds dont go through itll just be a S362fmw with stock injectors, but i am fairly certain ill have two hair dryers under the hood.

there is no reason to do an 80 over 62 if you're just going to put 175's in it. if you want to tow with it, do a 75 over the 62 with some 190's or 205's. that would be a badass street/tow setup. you'd be using most of the potential of that 62 by itself with just 175's. there wouldn't be enough fuel left over to drive that 80 very hard at all.

A 62/75 would be awesome!
