Was thinking that as well. Should I try 1st 4hi with the tuning I have now tomorrow if it's a loose track or wait till he can make me a tune that will lock the converter in 1st?
Im not sure how your current tunes are. It may not lock in 1st. Just keep 3rd low for now.
It doesnt take Matt long to write a tune so maybe you can have Matt write a new one by next pull. And Im sorry about my last post. Converter lock should be based on MPH not RPM.

Pulled Milton country heritage pull yesterday. Was test puller, pulled it out the end had to let off it was a short track, 300' first pull. Pulled again at the end and turbo didn't wanna light for the first 50' was about to let off but it finally lit, pulled 290' for 5th place out of 8...1' short of 4th. The next few place trucks were 299' and just over 300 for the other 2 that went into a pull off. 1st place truck ran away and blew motor and 2nd place blew rear diff. Very tight track but 3rd gear worked well, was able to hang 500lbs off the front this time. Overall happy with how it pulled against all the full time pull trucks! Hopefully the turbo will light sooner next time.

With 3.73's you will not be able to hack 1st gear high. That's an 11:1 final. We run 4:30's in first high with the auto trucks and it seems to work well. The singles like rpm so keep it where it's happy. Just have him turn your rev limiter up to 5000.

I've been wanting to try 5000rpm for awhile now lol seems to take 4500 just fine so far so 5000 should be safe . I think on the loose tracks I just need to play with my tire pressures more and add as much weight as I can to the front to keep it loaded down to get traction. On the tight tracks the truck seems to stay around 4200-4400 and it puts down good power there. The main benefit to my truck is in the only Ford in the class that can hang weight off the front and still make 8200lb.
Morgan I need to talk to you about some more fuel I need for my truck ASAP!

I got a set of Morgans 100% nozzles I'd sell. I traded my 60s for them now I'm regretting it

I think 100% might be a bit much for me right now since I still drive it on the road every day. Was going to go with his 60% nozzles I think they'd match well with my 72mm. I've got the 2nd pump just need the dual fueler kit to mount it and also waiting for my 2200 precision converter to come back hopefully they fix it for me.

Yeah I had thoughts of going 2.5 so I was gonna do a ED 2.5 Morgans dual pumps and 100's. I've decided that I'm gonna stay WS so an industrial pump and 60s is all I'll need.... even though I have like 3 spare k16 laying around. Maybe the tow pig will get dual pumps.

Need help! Trying to do my front diff with a grizzly locker at home, hoping to get it done tonight.
May be a dumb question but are the shims under the bearing on the carrier? Looks like they might be from looking at it, no shims came out of the sides when it was removed. I'd pull the bearings off to see but don't have a bearing puller at home I just bought new bearings for the locker didn't plan on trying to remove the old bearings.

Yep it should be 900+hp I hope! Switched over my tire set up as well to Goodyear Duratracs.
A pic from Elora truck pull a few weekends ago took 1st place out of 20 trucks with 337 feet.

How are you liking those Duratrac,s? Is that what everyone over there use,s?

Love them so far, the bfgs weren't working well on some of our loose tracks around here so I made the switch. A lot of guys around here are using mud terrain type tires now not many guys running all terrains anymore. The duratracs work well and are a bit cheaper then most others.
Tried them last night it was a pretty loose track ran 20psi front and 40 rear ended up with 3rd place out of 6 at 275'. Which was pretty good cause I usually fall way short on the loose tracks!
