Construction and Gains of Ported Intake Manifolds

Like you, I'm not a guru on flow design and what's optimal. I think all of these manifolds would be a significant improvement over stock, even for someone like me running stock injectors and a stock turbo. If its accurate to say all of these will outflow the heads, then it may simply come down to price, availability, customer satisfaction, and brand loyalty.

smooth round edges are what airflow likes. this is why velocity stacks are oh so common on race vehicles, because it helps the charge literally SUCK in air. Ever stand in front of one on a big charger?

This is the same concept, on the intake runners, smooth velocity stack style machine work will flow better when compared to a straight edge like Matt pointed out.

I would agree with that statement to a point.

I would also like to bring up that this is a forced induction engine. The charge or air has to go down the path you give it. It doesn't have to be "pulled" into the engine, making the high velocity work that much sweeter.

It is a good looking set of runners.

We have the major brands already listed. If I could get a vendor to list the available stages/options (EGR delete, or compliance) I'd appreciate it.

So along with egr stuff has anyone made one that has a dummy egr hole? Where a guy like me could simply have his cake and eat it to. All the looks of a egr with none of the flaws (especially for a visual check)

Sub'd been really interested in these manifolds.... Little pricey for the guy on a low dollar budget.... (as in me) but if the gains are truley worth it I'd look into it for my build....
