I barely make over 300hp and I don't even want to add up what I spent. LOL But i've been preparing the rest of the truck before I try to put power down. It definitely adds up quick.

It would be cheaper to do it all in one go, instead of building a truck for 600 then you want more and go to 800 and so on. But I would say 45k just in mods built motor, injectors, turbo(s), trans,ect.

LOL Tru that.... I had nearly 10k racked up in my ~320hp 7.3.... All that money and no powa. :facepalm:

For my current truck I've just been collecting deals as they come up. No hurry but, when it's all here I'll put it all on in one shot.

haha my wife has never complained really but i always try to make sure she has what she wants.. now after seeing some 500-600 hp trucks at the last dyno day we went to she told me she wouldnt be mad if some of our tax money went to the built trans to hold more power so i could make more than 400HP lol

He cheapest way to get into any kind of racing is buy someone elsewhere stuff who is selling out. You will want to shoot yourself if you build it yourself and then sell because you will loose an unreal amount of $

I'm not even at 400rwhp (at least I don't think I am) and people think I spend to much on my truck. I want a race truck so bad (definately can't afford it) but I know after I built it I'd cry the first time something broke on it.

Having one built for you is always more expensive than building your own. I have ~$32,000 in my motor and 2 transmissions. Unfortunately, I had to pay for the vast majority of mine in 3 unequal lump sums. OUCH! I'm sitting in the mid 500's but should handle ~800rwhp.

My wife is not overly understanding, but I don't go to bars or anything like that, so she's almost cool with it. She damn sure likes riding in it when it's running right.
