I am about to tackle this task myself. I have heard do it when the truck is hot and do it when the truck is cold. Which method is best? I have also heard to tighten the bolts a little then loosen them some and then tighten some and loosen some more and keep doing that till they come out. Sorry to derail the thread.

I drove home about 30 miles and when I got home I sprayed them good with penetrating fluid. I gave it about 2 hours and the bolts came right on out. Took at most 20 minutes and that is rounding up and putting up the tools.

Just take the clamp off of the turbo. There are 2 bolts on each side of the turbo. The pedestal will come out with it.

Now you have an idea on how todo a turbo kit lol. I am little bit up in the air if I am sticking with this truck long term or not. So I just blocked my egr. I will need a dually in a year or two.

I ended up having to pull the exhaust manifold off and put a new one on due to screwing up the hole in the mabifold when I tried drilling it out

Poopy. There is stuff you can get to rebuild that hole than tap new threads.
