Help with my stereo please.

This unit was in the pickup when I bought it, has always worked good till today. I bounced across a sprinkler rut and the stereo went off and started flashing protect. I pushed the system reset button and it didn't do any good. Anyone got any ideas???? Im at a loss and don't know what to do with it.

Did you try removing it completely and removing power from it, then reinstalling it? Never seen that before.

I'll have to try this as soon as I get a chance to, don't know what else to do. The only problem is I don't know when I'll get the time, busy as hell right now.
