Is this bad???

Doing the cold side pipe upgrade and when I took off the stock pipe found this gunk. Is this normal for a 113000 mile truck? Been on wieght plan since 93000 miles.

yep, that looks fairly normal from the EGR being in place for 93000 miles. Amazing what the manufacturers will let go into your engine!

So all of that is egr bypass crap that has flowed through?

How do you clean it without all of that crap going back into the block?

I just used a small shop vac attachment and went little by little. I was pretty careful tp make sure nothing was back in there.
