Knocking in the turbo ?

I recently bought a 03 f250 with a 7.3 and the last week have been feeling a knock in the front when I'm taking off , well after checking the front end a million times I have figure out it is only doing this while the turbo is boosting , once it releases or isn't boosting there is no knock . I can't hear the knock but rather I feel it . Any ideas ?

Take the intake boot off and check compressor wheel play.

Agreed, the shaft should have very little play either way..

Just pulled off the intake side and the turbo is tight , intake is very clean , no dust . Could it be the #8 injector that I read about often ? I only feel it when I'm on the accelerator good and once I release and the turbo lets go I can't feel or hear it and it won't do it at a idle

Yeah , actually replaced the rear one Friday , only other thing I found was a small crack in the exhaust about 3/4 the way back

When you say exhaust do mean the pipe, or the manifolds?
