Im in the market for some HID headlights. I am probably going with retro solutions because i have heard nothing but good things about them, plus they are a sponsor here. I am going to do both headlights and fogs. Im debating on how bright i want mine to be so i am looking for some pics of your guy's set ups. Thanks.

The brightest you can go is a 4300k. Once you go higher then that it starts giving the headlight the blue tent and that takes away from the useable amount of light that your eye can you.

I have 55w 6000k for my head lights and 35w 6000k for my fogs waiting to be installed. I expect that they will have a slight blue tint, but I don't mind. :D

Ill get some pics up but heads are 55w 5k, 35w 5k summer, 3k winter for fogs. 4300k has that halogen yellow tint to it, 5k its pure white, and 6k gets a tint of blue. Yes 4300 is most visible to the eye, but real life driving conditions you won't know the difference between 4300/5 and maybe even 6k other than 6 is a slight blue.

Ricers prefer 12,000k+ really blue and look like sh!t. I have friends running everything from 6000k-10,000k, they all run DDM
Tuning kits and have no complaints other then occasional flickering. It just all depends on how much blue you want in the light. If the truck is lifted you will get flashed a lot tho so be prepared for that. I have a few pictures floating around somewhere of different trucks with various K values I'll get posted up for you.

What kind are they and what are they doing?
I have read many times the ballast is the same in all the lights. Being the slim or the bigger one.

I have 55W 8000K in the headlights and 35W 6000K in the Fogs. The coloring looks almost the same from the sides. Good Match.

Retros. One side will not match the other. Have tried ballast, bulbs, and harnesses nothing fixes. Was said to be my truck....hahahaha. But they did the same on my buddy's 08 even switching **** around. Problem cannot be explained and I'm not wasting the money to send em in as I have already wasted enough. Silverstars work great everytime all the time.:D

I have 8000k on my truck there bright and they look good whenever I was buying mine everybody said go with 6000k but I wanted a little more blue and I'm glad I went with 8000k I would recommend 8000k if you want more blue cause 10k is to much blue.

I have the DDM tuning kit. 5000k Hi/Lows and fogs 35w ballast all the way around. Fogs seem to have a little more blue tint to them, but overall I love the setup.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm debating between the 6000k and 8000k. Do you guys run the caps on yours? I know the fogs are recommended because they over heat.
