MAF needed?

Is the MAF needed after an EGR delete on a 2006? I've read multiple conflicting answered and would really like to know which is correct.

Why would you want to get rid of the maf because you did a egr delete?

Hadn't looked at the new posts on your thread. Yours was one that had me wondering if I needed it or not.

I thought I'd read that the MAF controlled the EGR flow and no EGR=no MAF anymore.

Just had me curious is all.

I havent came across that, I dont really think that they are needed. The 05 trucks didnt have a MAF sensor, id assume it would just need tuned for it.
