just for a reference: I am not calling out Maryland performance diesel! These guys are the bomb and they have helped me with so much!
Well the problem with white smoke never was solved because of stupid winter freezing up everything. Well recently ive noticed my truck of lacking "boost". Most boost I could see was 42psi with 45psi EBP. Egt:1320 were the same except a leak.. I heard it and thought my POS blowoff valve broke again.. well no.. today just now I looked deeper and found a huge crack all around the t-4 adapter. It cracked through the 90° pipe and the weld on the t-4 flange. I know Maryland performance will help me as they've done before and the reason of this thread is just to ask why and how this could happened?
Pics to come

From where that started it looks like there may have been a faulty weld and the heat stressed the fault and cracked it then the crack just continued with heating and cooling.

Sadly not till tommorow. their office is closed... weird thing is that it still makes boost... I was going 75mph yesterday maintaining 5psi of boost at 650°F..

This is where mine cracked the first time. This was followed by a crack on the same side on the uppipe near the mainifold. That was then followed by a crack on the mainifold at the connection to the uppipe. For what ever reason I didn't save those pics. The guys at MPD have been great to deal with. Although I think we both agree we need to move on from this project to another.

I'm wondering if they went with an aluminized piping and it's just not handling the heat. If it was stainless I would say no but if it's not then I would start there. And it looks like it's not an uncommon problem. Not bashing, just my opinion with history of working with different metals and such.

Thanks for clearing that up Mike. Like I said I want bashing on any of you guys, just curious. What is your take on this as it isn't the first time?
