Looks all to familiar to me. How long did it take you to get the cab off? Keep it updated so we can see the progress

Took me about 5 hours to get the cab up but I was taking my time being very methodical and working alone. As of now I have both valve covers, the intake, turbo, and the oil rails out. I have been working on it for 9 hours. I'm doing push rods, lifters, rockers, extreme studs, head gaskets and a few other things I cant think of lol.

Also installed a freeze plug in the front cover to keep coolant out of the intake manifold

Is it a bad idea to fill with cheap oil at first for about a day to flush the engine?

What's the best way to make sure the valve train is working properly...since I'm doing new lifters, rockers and pushrods... I don't want any bent pushrods. Just rotate the engine by hand a few rotations? I already pushed the lifters down with a push rod and all but 1 went down pretty far. Also how springy should they feel?

Hook up a battery on the passenger side cables and use the starter solenoid wire to crank the engine over to watch everything work.

Make sure the oil is drained out or the oil filter housing is on or you'll have oil going everywhere out of the oil cooler.
