Now I'm nervous about my deck work... I don't want to go crazy on it but I also don't want to do this again... What's the best way to tell when is ready? Completely smooth?

When it looks like this. All the stains off and it's smooth to the touch. Some of the stains won't come all the way out as you can see in the pic

Turned the engine over withe the starter about 5 times everything looks good... Only thing I'm worried about is the Grove I found on my heads.. I can feel it with my finger nail but it's not very deep...

Got it back together today but couldn't get it started... I hope it's just that my batteries are dead.. I put them on a slow charge and ill try again Tomorrow.

You shipping the truck back with you?
Did you prime the HPO system?

Yea its coming back with me. If by prime it you mean crank it til it registered in the dash then yes... I'm thinking I may have left the camshaft sensor unplugged... I will check that and the codes tomorrow..

Yep put 50 easy but tempting miles on it today. Wanted to let the new valve train get settled in before I hammer it.
