Ya Shane correct the stock ford short block are holding strong for over 1,000HP. I had a built motor. Rods, pistons ect... Did not have much luck with it. I hope this one stays together. With my luck ??? lol...

You had rods in that motor, and what took them out for this build?

I knew I was low, was thinking about 40000 but wasn't sure. Dual tripple bypass race shocks aren't cheap.

MPD new build

I installed 4.56's in it a couple years ago so unless Joe had it changed again that's what it has. It also got front and rear true-tracs and a complete front dynatrac hub & bearing conversion.

Ya you are correct Wayne. They are 4.56 a was trying to say. The True-Tracks will be replaced with a Dana 80 rear and Detriot lockers. I just went threw to many rears in a short time. The new One Up Offroad driveshaft should work good with the Dyna 80 rear.
The Dynatrack hub & bearing conversion Craig has to look at. It only had 3,000 miles on it and we had 1/2" of rock on the front rims. I hope they just need to be re torqued. Or I will need a new hub and bearing conversion again.
We went to put the new rims on and they were rocking in and out at least 1/2".
It is not the ball joints either. I looked up on there web site it said to re torque every 100 miles until play stops. I did not have the directions and nobody ever told me this.
I guess I know now...
Thanks
Joe

So you had compounds and this new huge single is going to be as hot and smokey? I thought it wasn't a good idea to put big singles on lifted trucks?

Ya I don't know. Craig said this build will run way cooler and will spool faster then my old build. I do know my old build was not working properly because it would not spool for ****. It would black the highway out and run super high EGTs. But then look at Eric truck and the one that Mall built. They are still running strong.
I do know that Craig has more than proven his build works with Dyno runs of 1,380HP and many good days at the track. I live at Sea level also so my truck should run the same as his. I just have a heavy truck and bigger tires. So it will be slower but it should still rip.

Eric I had rods in my old Elite short block. That motor was toast! I had to buy a entirely new short block. Craig said the new short blocks come with the better pistons and a stock short block is good for over 1,000HP easy.
Thanks
Joe

Not to be negative, but i seriously hope you don't expect the same results as Craig's truck in your truck

No of course not Lol..My truck is over 10,000 pounds and sits on 40" tires. But we will have almost all the same parts. Craig and I have spoke many times and we both know what we are shooting for.

No those things didi not work out at all. They just got in the way. I hardly ever used them. Craig put the stock shifter back on.

Ya it looked like a pain in the arse driving a 10k lb Indy monster truck .

The truck is surprisingly easy to drive other then when those pattle shifters were on. It rides like butter super smooth and does not sway at all. I can cruise on the highway and it rides really nice. No bump in the front rims at all.
I am sure it is because of the One Up Offroad kit.
The truck rides awesome!!
