When I ran a 64/71/70 on stick injectors, it was a blast to drive...
Absolutley NO worries of overheating anything, because there wasn't enough fuel, even with a Xtreme Race tune, to get the EGT's over 1250*F.
I have to mention that I was...and still am, running a Colt Cam though...

How does your truck drive with the stock sticks and the 64/70? Compared to stock turbo.

alittle lag while cruising, otherwise its great. the trucks running srl+,and you cant get it hot.. 1100 degrees tops

how were yall spooling rpm wise with that 64... when i ran mine it was not lighting like stock.

By 16-1750 I had about 2psi of boost already.
Driving on flat ground on the highway at 65-70mph (21-2200 rpm) I had 8-10psi boost. That's cruising, not accelerating.
I had a video showing the drive/ boost numbers on the highway....have to look for it....

That's how mine was with a diverter, had a small leak but still.

My stock charger lights hard right now, and lights 13-1350 4 pounds at 1500

kyle are you running any cam in your motor?

stock.

i have a couple 6.4 cams i might experiment with?

my truck cruising has around 5 psi @15-1700.

keep in mind my manifolds are ported, and my ficm is 58v-flashed.(mild idp)

im waiting for a set of steedspeeds,as i believe it will make this charger/ injector combo a very fun truck to dd.

Thanks man for the info. Well I dont have any ported manifolds yet (I am definitely going to look to do a set of steedspeeds as well), I do have a 58v Mild IDP tuned FICM. I was asking about this because I am thinking this is the turbo I am looking to run for a single anyways when I do injectors and I am having some wierd stuff happening with my stock turbo and I would like to just do away with the VGT crap all together if I could.

My pos was in no way bashing a non Vgt, but just to give you an opinion from someone who has ran both large VGTs 62/70 64/70 and stock charger.

The boost being there so fast with a Vgt makes the truck a heck of a lot more fun.
