There's gotta be an easier way to get a boost reading for a mechanical boost gauge than welding a bung to the CAC pipe.

its easy that way pipe comes off in less than a minute run it to a muffler shop to have them weld it on..

Personally I think it'd just be easier to just drill and tap a hole. That can be done way faster than having to take a part somewhere to have it welded. To drill a hole and tap it would take no more than 10 minutes. So I take it that there's no boost to T into....or no place to drill and tap a hole without taking the intake manifolds off?

Thanks....I'll check it out. If it comes down to having a bung welded I'll do it....but I'd rather find an easier way.

The flange that is bolted to the intake manifold where the boost fitting is in the last pic...is that something that was there or something that was custom made?

Awesome man....that helps out a ton. Thanks a lot! Your gauges look great!

Thanks man I really enjoy them!

That came with my Absolute performance EGR delete kit. Came with the plate and both block offs.

Gonna also get this to mount the mini maxx. I think it'll look good with the three gauges on the pillar and the mini maxx right above them

I like the one that mounts to the rear view mirror (I'd mount it above the mirror). Looks pretty cool. I just wonder if I'd be able to clearly see the mini maxx display (I'm getting a little older and the eyes aren't what they used to be). If you had the mirror mount for the mini maxx, it'd look like a cockpit in your rig! lol...

Either way, it's going to look nice for you.

That is how I have mine mounted and I love it.

Yeah...I have my 6L and my buddy's 6L setup the same way. He really loves it and wants the gauge setup in his 6.7 the same way. This is how we both have our gauge setups with the edge insight up top where the mini maxx would be.

To the guys who have done gauge installs on their 6.7L's: Were you able to find a spot to tap into the factory dimmer circuit so your gauges dim with the factory dash? Looking through service manuals (and with a more experienced friend looking as well), we have not been able to find anything that looks like a dimmer circuit that comes out of the dash. He said it appears that none of the interior lights (stereo or ashtray) dim with the dash like they do on earlier models.

Decided to go a different route than planned with his gauge setup. Hopefully be able to get them installed somewhat today after I get the No Limit intake installed. I'll try to get some pics.
