Pinch weld cover design I've been working on

That ugly ass pinch weld finally got to me enough to fix it. I looked at various covers that are available and none of them have the coverage or fit I'm looking for so I decided to come up with my own design. I need to test fit a prototype this week to make sure the dimensions are perfect then they'll be available from a vendor here.

This is where I'm at right now.

I am not sure whats uglier a pinch weld or a pinch weld cover with exposed hardware ?

we used to have a metal guy that could bend up stainless and do fine detail cuts
( coffin trim) he made great covers that would 3m tape on

lucky (or not) for me i have running boards that hide the pinch welds

I'll be welding studs to the back side to use existing holes, no visible hardware. I may have to drill a new hole for the very front. Material will be 1/8" steel plate.

Got the first set in and they fit exactly how I wanted. I figured them to fit nice when spaced out 3/8"-1/2" so they will float over the bolt heads for Amp steps and stuff. I'll lay out the studs and weld them on next week sometime then get them coated and installed.
They are available from Trevor at PMF.
Not much to see yet but here they are.

confused is this your own design or the same ones PMF has always had ?

i know you know this but when I have seen studs welded on the back it was visibly noticeable on the front side ( distortion )

i know you can work around it but just sayin ;-)

This is my design that PMF will also sell. I sent the CAD file to Trevor and he took it from there. I didn't like the other design since it does nothing for the front where it drops down.
I'm not worried about any distortion....capacitive discharge stud welder FTW! lol
It's also 1/8" steel plate so it should be able to take a beating and not warp.

Finally had time to lay them in place to lay out the studs I need to weld to the back
Trevor and PMF gave me exactly what I wanted...they fit perfectly when spaced 1/2" away from the pinch weld. I did it that way so they float over the bolts for the Amp steps and the 2 bolts on the bottom of the fender.
