Did he have FICM tuning on his truck? Also do you know if he had a 58v FICM?

We all got our FICM's tuned. We did 2 runs before FICM tuning and 2 runs after FICM tuning. We never unstrapped the trucks from the dyno to tune em'. Bill just shut em' down, tuned right there, then we did two more pulls. He was running a 48V FICM, BUT, he only dynoed 437 before the FICM tune. The 48V FICM's all picked up more power. I was the only 58V FICM there, I really wish we had one or two more for comparison.

what was the differents between the before ficm tune and after the tune, i can't tell by the picture, for both the 48v and the 58v ficm's? and your truck must be one of them unicorn 6.0l trucks. great numbers man.

I had an 8 rwhp and 15 lbs-ft increase, but the throttle response is amazing. If I didn't have the paper work proving my real gains, I would swear it picked up at least 35 rwhp and 75lbs-ft. I run a 58v FICM and my real gains were smaller, but the 48v units picked up 20rwhp and 30 lbs-ft consistantly throughout the day. Those gains were replicated over 20+ trucks. The FICM tune os definitly worth the money. We all got the PHP tune, but I'm sure the IDP or KEM tune would net around the same HP/torque and throttle response.

Tx I have been waiting to hear about some Dyno proven results.
No problem. Thats why we did it. We wanted some definitive numbers for HP and torque gains with the tune. We have results on over 20 trucks now, so no matter what setup up you have we probably have a comparable truck that dynoed and can come up with some numbers you can expect to gain from the FICM tuning.

My truck ran 13.9 @ 95 on extreme street tune, didn't have a chance to run the race tune but eric said it should be 2-3 tenths faster... definately feels quicker.

I have a 05 SCSB 4x4 on 35s, studed, deleted, MBRP 4" turbo back with muffler, blue spring, 6.4 banjos, conventional 15w-40 oil and stock intake! :D Just bought a ZEX dry kit hoping for mid 12s on 33s and the race tune.

I'm diggin this old thread back up that Shawn started because i want to show some people how gullable some guys are about dyno#'s....this one in particular. For guys that wanna set a goal of making 550hp with their truck shouldn't think that a powermax, 175/75's, and tuned FICM with stock intake and stock exhaust is gonna make 530-550hp. Here's a thread and feel free to put your two cents in....http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/6-...258022-first-dyno-run-ever-wow-its-great.html

just dyno'd mine, put down 750/1310 on fuel with 205's and a 66 and I got 20mpg on the way home, zero smoke and 1200 egt at its peak

lets see how long it takes for people to pick up the sarcasm.

I can't agree with you more Chris. I haven't been here as long as some veterans, and I have been working on refraining myself from cluttering this place up, but recently I have noticed PSA turning into a place like PSN every time I sign on now..just my .02 cents. The 175/75's making 550-600hp pissed me off. end of rant lol

Then he brags about beating a fox body, now foxes can be very fast, but a stock fox is kind of a joke. They will make a lot of noise but that is about it. If you want to brag about beating a fox make sure u say how fast it is. If we could make power like that with 175's we would all run them. Sounds like an ex cummins kid to me. And who pays $10k for a blown 6.0l (what looks like an 04) talk about getting had.

I ran 13.5@99, truck weighed 7400 on DOT approved scale. Calculates to 487 ish.

190/75s with Powermax, Banks intercooler, built transmission, Detroit Tru-trac, no FICM tuning. Truck is super cab short box, street tune with no converter lock up, and FICM voltage is a little low.

New XtremeX tune and after FICm work, will be going to the track in a week or two for new numbers

190/100's, 68 vgt, stock trans, 33's, probably around 8000 lbs. 13.0 @101.6

I'll have a built trans in Aug and probably a different injector/turbo setup so I'll hopefully be into the mid-high 12's.
