200lbs/min can support upwards of 2000hp, those gen 2 Garretts are no joke.

one of the pistons they sent had the wrong piston ring grove. Got a new one Friday.

We have been having problems with RPM signal and our new magnetic collars weren't working so I found a solution. this should be pretty reliable as long as we can keep the magnets in.

Did you have 2 bad pistons after all? Or just replace the other outside piston for balance purposes??

Other piston had damage but wasn't burnt bad like the other. We replaced it anyway and are keeping the slight damaged one for a spare in case we need one fast.

Got the car running. Man runs way better now haha have some exhaust leaks I have to work on tomorrow.

well we trashed the high pressure charger so that fast tracked the single idea. GTX5533R Gen II 98mm with custom housing will be here tomorrow. Charger is rated at 2500hp!

We test spooled a S591 I had here and it spooled amazing. now im changing the piping for the final location for the single. Putting it where the low pressure was on the compounds for simplicity of intake and exhaust.

I've got a similar charger on mine. GT5533R. I found the billet wheel separate for the X model though.

holy hell.. that does look way less complicated!! so with that being rated at 2500 hp, will it spool good enough for what you have? or is that why you tested the s591 cuz it is similar in size?

Turbine is similar. But the 500 has a heavy cast wheel and is journal so I'm thinking we won't have any issues spooling the 98. We will find out tonight!

Food for thought. Ryan miliken is running a 88mm gtx55 its rated at 1700hp he is making approx 1900 at the crank. This charger is rated at 2500... you do the math
