Nice work Larry. We need to get together again sometime. Have you thought about bringing that setup out to Spokane and Race?

Look what showed up today. Gotta cut corners in some places so I chose rider comfort to suffer. Hope they aren't too bad but it was only $169 compared to the high end ones. I'll weigh them up when I get a minute and compare that to my stocker if anyone cares.

Hey Ken, congrats on your retirement. I'd like to come out there sometime for sure. If I do I'd sure like to get truck live tuned if someone's around. I think our IHRA Summit Super Series finals are out there somewhere this year. Closer then Edmonton for a change.

Here's the truck when I bought it back in 2010.

Glad to see you made a build thread! That truck has definitely come a long way from where it started... LOL

Off topic, but got a pic of the blue guy clipped in the right corner of the first picture from 2010?

Thanks, I love my 7.3'$ my tow truck is a 7.3 too. Here is my rolling circus ready to go racing.
Very nice!

Thank god. I was reading through and saw the stocker and thought Oh no, can't have that... and then the redeeming post that you were going to order a race seat and harness. Glad to see you got one in before taking the truck back out with the new roll bar. :naughty: Are you counting down the days until the snow melts and tracks reopen yet?

Thanks guys,
"My" home built tranny has about 500 miles on it but it's now in the tow truck and I bit the bullet and got a BTS for last year's race season.

Ya that dirty old seat really looked out a place i realized lol.

That blue guy is not mine, its where I bought the Punisher from, sorry.

Look what showed up yesterday!
Eenie meenie miney mo, which turbo should make the Punisher go?
Left to right, new S476, s468fmw, 99 stocker, early 99 stocker. Decisions decisions

This pic makes that early99 look so small, it must be the angle of the pic.

Nice. M&H makes a good slick as long as you can get it in. Had a little trouble with them being back ordered a few years back.

You were right....gotta wait for them to melt some rubber :fustrate:

Got the motor back in and mostly all hooked back up. Big problem came about due to new ati dampner. Its a bigger diameter then stock. So after several trips to parts stores trying what some have claimed is you just gotta get a belt built on the longer side, fail fail fail. Not even close to fitting. Actually about 2 inches short. I finally found a couple real old posts that let me know to change both pulleys to 70mm ones, belts now on.
Also got my seat frame all made and painted and my rear window all fitted and stickered.

Yeah could of fired truck up last weekend if I would have foreseen that one. I'll post the info here that I learned from some one else's trials online. My factory pulleys were 95mm for upper one and 75mm for lower one. I switched both with "Dayco 89052 Belt Tensioner Pulley" which are 70mm. I tried just the upper big one only and it still wasn't enough so both are necessary. Also, shop around cuz pulleys were $14 each on Amazon prime and $80 each at Orielys but in there defense said they would match any price. I just didn't want to deal with that.

I did! Yeah! Found an oil leak on turbo oil drain that had to fix which has slowed me down some and then my alternator decided it was done. I've only drove it around my yard as I live out in the country and it's 4.5 miles to pavement, so haven't gotten the nerve up to go that far. Having trouble with engine wanting to run away on me. It's worst in Park but I did notice it doing it while driving around yard. Just got back home tonight, so will be trying it again tomorrow, and trying a couple things to narrow down this issue.
I'll try to make a video, but that's always fun by yourself lol.
