Nicks truck was a bad mofo that's for sure. Wish he could've kept it.

So like was said before if a guy took say my setup with just a drop in 71mm atmosphere vs a single 71mm. What power difference would there be?

You might see a 50hp difference. 650 with the compounds and around 700 with the single assuming you have a healthy hpfp to run a big tune. No guaranteesLOL

I'm was asking this to see what actual dyno comparisons were for those that have ran similar setups. I'd just like to see how the power curve actually changes on a dyno

You are asking one of the most vague and open ended question possible.

Are you just trying to shoot the ****, or are you trying to actually figure something out for your setup??

because if you are, why don't you provide some information on the setup that you are talking about, and what your goals are...

Because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to answer that question.. of course a single 71mm turbo will make more top end power than a stock/71 setup (granted you have the fuel needed for it)

Compounds come on early and usually fiddle out over the rpm range, a single picks up typically around upper 2k rpms and increases slowly till the end of the pull. still though this is extremely generic and vague talk.

UGH LOL this is so open ended and never ending it is not even funny. factory style "drop in" compounds, or fabricated compounds? I Will play the devils advocate and go ahead and point out my good friend made 11xx on fuel with a single s588 on a built motor 5.9... but would he have made more with a properly sized HP turbo in a compound setup? probably not... considering my other good friends 5.9 with extremely similar mods did 1040 on fuel with a 464/588 setup. BUT, the compound truck drove much better on the street. There are benefits of both setups, in their given applications. at some point, a big single becomes too much for a street driven truck, and clearly, as shown by just about every high HP competition based truck, single turbos are not enough to make good power. you need the CFM of a massive atmospheric charger, paired with the STreet manners of the HP turbo. BUT, all of the 1500+ HP trucks out here in my neck of the woods have stupid big compounds. i mean, the smaller setups run about 76MM/106MM. and goes up to about 100/118. theres always going to be a distinct advantage/disadvantage for any turbo setup, you just have to figure out what your goals are to determine what suits you best, every truck, and driver, have a different preferred setup that works best for them. so yeah.

yeah and the 3.0 guys are making 1300+ with a 75mm .. just crazy loose turbine and drop boxes etc .. its all about streetable vs. not .

My goal is the 800 maybe 900 hp max some day and the reason I'm asking is because I was looking for dyno sheets to see the width and range of power. With a good set of compounds being double what a single kit would cost. I was just looking for results to see which direction I'd be better off to head to. I also like the fact it's easier to work on then compounds but understand there are cost to a single.

What's the highest horsepower fuel only fords? They run a single or compounds?

Size for size a single mill make more power. But no one can drive a 100mm single turbo on the street. So that's why they all have compounds.

Yep more like 16-1700 at the engine. Wes is making 2500 with a 4.3 or 4.5" or something retardedly big single. But you couldn't even think of comparing that to anything that would ever drive on the street. Se people don't understand that though.

I do realize this. That's why I run one. But the question was dyno fuel only.
