Someone put DEF in the fuel tank instead of fuel.

Split the HPFP.

:doh: That't not good. Might as well through some Premium in that bad boy.
Was this split HPFP that your talking about result the same? As far as all rods going at once?

Honestly I wouldn't so much as even put additive in these newer diesels, the higher pressures and thinner clearances is just asking for trouble IMHO.

I have had a few come in with power loss complaints. Had to replace two egr cores so far. One short block, mini max and water meth caused the rod to see daylight.

No not likely, with all the brain deads that are on the roads I wonder how frequent that problem is going to be

Not that I know of, just based off of what I have seen in these high pressure pumps. I wouldn't risk it for the minimal if any gain to be had.

DEF in the fuel tank happened at a dealer near me as well 12k in repairs to the fuel system. The guy traded the truck to them and drove off in a new one.
