Truck has made a grinding noise since I bought it with the hubs locked in or 4wd. Goes away under load but sounds nasty when you let of or just cruising. I thought it was the old high mileage dana 50 so I wasn't to worried about it. But I just finished my dana 60 swap last weekend and it still does it.
So I am pretty sure its the tcase. I have the 4407 model. Is this common? Maybe lose chain?
I picked up a spare trans and t case but it has the 1356 with slip yoke so no go there.
