Wonder how long till someone just makes a full tilt hood/ fenders like the big trucka

autocorrected by taptalk

I seen one on youtube before fuully hydraulic none the less. It should be made factory like the rigs, it would make everything much easier. It just sucks how I need a lift to work on my truck for anything deep.

I wish obs cabs came off that easy... haha, oh well

This, i have access to a lift that is tall enough. Be soooooo much easier to do all the turbo **** if i could just pop the cab up one afternoon.

For those of us that don't know why its harder on an obs, can you tell what is harder? Thx.

OBS is easy :toast:

-Michael

obs is just as easy as a sd 7.3, ive done both, honestly takes less then an hour if you know what your doing

Your saying the E40D has better parts then the 4r100?

some parts are. the e40d has 4 pinion aluminum planets and the 4r100 has 6 pinion steel. Not all 4r100's are steel. But the e4od has some parts that are stronger than the 4r100 like the forward drum and low reverse drum.

Simply remove the stock bolts and put the studs in. LOL

orthographiam recte est super occidere

Much easier said than done. You have to do some motor rocking, injectors must come out. Not as simple as pulling a bolt and replacing it. Next time I do it, the cab is coming off.

I guess i got lucky. When we pulled my trans apart to build it, it had fully splined already. My buddies '02 did not when he pulled his out. Hopefully mine will eventually hold up to stage 1's and towing 10k regularly.

Oh! Looking good man, hlad to see someone else rocking the factory wheels still. I went from aftermarkets to stockers...seems very much against the grain.

I stand corrected, i honeslty didnt know obs cabs could come off like that, i thought the fenders and core support had to be removed to lift the cab as they werent structural to the cab. Thats good to know. Altho mine will prolly fall to pieces if i try it with all the rust. Seems like a great oppertunity to chage the core support and dimple the cab for a bigger down pipe for an s4.

Thats my fear. The core support is gone on my truck so IDK how well it'll raise up. Wish i had a lift here at the house so i could dick with it here instead of taking up a lift at a friends shop.

Funny you say that, my buddy lifted his cab on his '97 just to smack the firewall for dp & a turbo later on. I'll upload the picture later tonight
