Curious as to why even bother for a 500hp build? Just throw a used long block in it and be done. None of this work is required for a 500hp build, even more so when you "plan" on going big later???

I said 500 hp build just because with the injectors and turbo I had that's what it was making. And I was just going to throw a forged block at it but the one I had, had around 400,000 miles so I figured if freshen it up. Just the situation I was in this worked best.
