did they float and let the small end of the rod get ripped off from lack of air cushion in the cylinder?

OP who's tunes are you running and how old are they? Most good tuners will be able to tune an OBS (and maybe even an SD) to not need a fooler

Swamps

I was wondering myself, found this.

Swamps tuning and the **** of it is it didn't window the block. Broke the rod into 3 pieces. No windows just took everything on the inside with it. Ripped a couple cooking jets out, few chunks of the cylinder walls, the works

910 springs and no contact on any of the pistons. They look like brand new pistons actually. Cylinders are really clean just a load of carnage.
