I like the way he mounted his, wonder if he has any leaks when it rains. Also wondering if it can be done with the Chevy mirrors, it would be nice if I didn't have to weld a plate.

Thing about not welding a plate, is the mirror doesn't fit the body lines at all. To get the mirror mounted where it matches body lines you have to move it back and then you have to have a plate welded in.

Here are some pictures with the truck in the sun.

I love driving with these things. The mirrors show much more than the stock pedistals.

I hope its just the angle of the pic but the mirror on the passenger side looks a little crooked pointing up... might just be the pic though.

I think when its done they all have a slight upwerd angle.

They are not angled upward much at all, no more than what they would be on a dodge. Its how the mirror is made, its mounted flush to the plate. I wanted them to match the body lines of the door, so thats how I mounted them. They are not angled up though when looking from the side.

i used the same idea as yours and i am just wondering if you had to reinforce the door at all when i have mine flipped out they shake a little when you hit bumps. just wondering if you had the same problem and if so what you did to fix it.

thanks

I finally got some time to put some bondo in the welds and cover up the bear metal. I used white plasti dip for right now until I can get it warm enough to actually paint the door.

What about these??? Would they be easy to mount on a truck that doesn't have the correct mounts?

I'd really like to go to the dark side. I'm more for the GM mirrors but not totally against the Dodge mirrors. I want to get spare doors for mach up, may have to get both sets to try out.
