Bringing this one back!
Took the short block I had laying around and stripped her down and started over. Had Shane build a bad ass turbo set up for it and swapped out the midwest kit for an elite dual fueler. Couldnt be happier with the setup! My trans on the other hand is not liking it.

Huge thanks to Shane for doing an unbelievable job with the turbos and putting up with me through this! Also Mike at No Limit for hooking me up with parts when I needed them. Lucas Sparks for swapping me dual fueler kits. Lastly huge thanks to Wes Beech for fabbing up custom fuel fittings for my elite kit.

Good to see your desire to stay with it so Enjoy it! My last 6.4 build I relied on others and it cost me 2xs over so I had to sell it..

Awesome Job! Mine took multiple years as well

I love the roller coaster of emotions that occur in the last page of posts. These trucks are a joy, and then you wanna burn it, then you love it, then you hate it.

Good on ya for holding out and stickin with it!

It is a bad ass setup IMO. ebp maxes out right around 60-65 with boost around 50-55. Shane definitaly knows what hes doing with a 6.4!

I've been asked by a few to give some more info on this:

This is actually the third attempt at it! I originally purchased a long block from dynamic diesel which was a disaster. After letting the truck sit for a year I bought a short block that was also a disappointment. At that point I decided to just take it on myself. I had never built an engine larger than a motorcycle before. With the help of several members here off we went. Mike D hooked me up with some delipped and flycut pistons, gaskets and a few no limit goodies I could'nt live without. I tore the shortblock down and got rid of everything I didn't like, had it and my heads all checked out and started from scratch.

During the build I had reached out to Shane(white monster) for some advice and decided to swap out the rcd 71 atmo in favor of his 76 atmo kit. I also had him v band my manifolds and up pipes as well as rework my wastegate and downpipe. His work is top notch and he had a ton of patience dealing with my ignorant ass! We also decided to swap out the midwest dual fueler kit for an elite kit, only reason for this being another member needed the midwest kit for his build and had the elite kit to trade. During install I found that somewhere along the line I had misplaced the elite fittings for the high pressure lines:doh:. One call to Wes Beech and I was in business with some new custom fittings! Since I was already this far into it I got rid of all of the old push lock fuel lines and upgraded to all braided lines in the engine bay. The 76 kit and new piping eliminated the factory fuel cooler so a summit pass through cooler was installed in the return on the frame. Need to replace the front seal since I didnt get it in correctly and it leaks (ordered the install tool this time around) but all in all I couldn't be happier. Next up new Trans.

Very nice. I'm in the middle of my 6.4 rebuild too. Shane's stuff is definitely very nice, just more than I want to get into for a mild build. What are you doing with the 71mm atmo turbo?
