to busy yesterday to post but put my dually on major diet... didnt feel like draining the tank, cuz it was full, but had to make weight to hook to the sled.. couldnt even build trac bars cuz its such a tub of lard!! ended up cutting the spare tire holder out from under it along with emptying the bed and taking the gn hitch out of the back that i built...i ended up being able to hang 170lbs on the nose. so with less fuel i should be able to build some trac bars for pulling and still hang weight...
just about 2 hours before the weigh in, while at home, the truck just up and decides to quit running... put the scanner on it, p0344, cps signal intermittent.... super, put a new never used old black cps in and it fired right up... drove it up to the pull parked it after weigh in... bout 20 min before my class i started it to let it warm up.... went back 15 min later to line up, it was off, key was still on, so it died again and the same code came up,p0344.... put the recall cps back in, that was in the truck 5-6 years ago when i bought it, and it fired right up...
my 01, i built a hitch for it for the stock truck class. did ok other then i think 2nd low is to slow and i dont know if it would hold 3rd... might try to hook again this morning before the tractor pull and try 3rd... definitely going to try the dually since i couldn't last night..
