As much as I like them old trucks it would be to much for me for a 15 year old truck.

What was repaired? Its only got 115K on it, to me that alone brings the value. Any of these old trucks will 'total' easy at todays shop costs. Replacing a crushed bed will do it and once replaced, theres nothing wrong with it.

Rebuilt or not, theres a lot of life left in it-- nice drw 350s for $9-10K don't show up everyday. If you plan to use it for a long time, it could be very worth it.

A few months ago I picked up a bone stock 2001 4WD EC/LB DRW, 6 speed for 6k. To me, the mileage matters very little, and the one I picked up has twice the miles. At 15 years old, they need the same things. And its more likely to of been replaced with more miles, because the previous owner(s) actually drove it.

Things that matter to me, body work IE rust. Parts can be replaced. Body work takes a finesse I dont have, but I can repair the mechanicals. The interior looks pretty nice, but I am thinking thats a 6k truck too, being RWD. I would personally want to see it start cold, and check blowby, and see how it shifts.

If it was me, I would make an offer of 6, see where he's at. Then decide what its really worth to you.

looks like a nice truck, but two strikes against it, title and 2wd. If I were to buy that up here I'd have to plan a 4wd conversion to ever have a hope to sell it.

Checked the truck out and it is an extremely clean truck no rust or dents anywhere and just a few scratches in the bed and it started and drove great. The rebuilt title is because of the recent flooding by the water line on the door jam the water was almost on the seat bottom. I ended up passing on it because they wouldn't budge off the price.

Down here, it would be about a $10K truck... with a clean title. But, if you can determine the reason for the rebuilt title, it may very well be worth the coin if you plan to keep it.

Man I don't know how that's even considered a sub $10k truck.

Asking and selling are two very different prices. If you know someone willing to pay 20k for the same truck in 4wd. I'll drive mine down this weekend. And fly back. My truck lived in Texas until 2010 anyways.

Definitely! But we all know there's idiots out there willing to pay crazy amounts.

A 7.3 truck with 100k could need more work done to it than some that are found with 300k. It needs a check from top to bottom but I would say 7-8K around here.
