I gotta say, maintaning chrome wheels is waay easier than keeping polished wheels looking good. Chrome is easy to stay on top of, polished wheels make a mess cleaning and need polishing regularly to keep them looking good.

I say death metal. I know it is a surprise since I always am saying "chrome revolution". LOL In your case I think the black sets off the wheels and the white paint on your rig.

This is what my thoughts were.

That sucks, I have had mine for a year and not a spot on them. Wonder if the chroming process is flawed or not applied correctly during certain runs at the plant?

You mean all the chrome BMF's are pitting in 6 months? And you don't even have bad winters with road salt.

Actually not saying all BMFs do by any means...just all chrome wheels I have experience with.

Yep. Im just gunshy

Just saying you don't always need road salt to get pitting. Thats the problem with chrome on DD's they always pit unless you take care of them like car show guys do with theirs.

I was kidding bro. I hear ya

That said...I wash the truck 2-3 times a week. Never any chemicals/cleaners.

Death Metal Novakanes...(if I have to choose...)

The SOTA's look like a piece of honeycomb. I can't stand them. Novakanes still look like a proper rim...minus the wannabe beadlock holes...

Why have rims that "look" like beadlocks... that's as bad a fender vents and stick on ram air...

Mine are not BMF's but they only lasted about 6 months till they started pitting. Just on the inside but enough to piss you off. LOL. Then I got them warrenteed and got a new set. They lasted 6 months as well. I was pretty good about keeping them clean. I think if I parked my truck indoors and cleaned the wheels every couple weeks they probably would have survived.

Right now this is what I am doing to mine to keep them alive... LOL It is a PITA. When I buy wheels I keep them... LOL
