Dont I recall Erik stating that Industrial had made some pump changes to the dragonfire to make it more reliable?

so 520lbs ... thats cuz ur 60ft's blew and the track blew even harder... that truck is a bad mofo.

With your 60 foot, Mike's truck would probably be damn close to 11.9. Get that truck down to the weight I got mine and cut a really good 60 foot....I bet you'll run an 11 at sea level, Mike.

I think it was Jon Walker that said that. I could be wrong though.

I wouldn't even think about fuel and do turbos. These trucks can support big compounds with stock fuel. To me it seems better to upgrade air before fuel.

I agree with madman on this one, the 6.4 already has enough full unless you are running something crazy. I personally would go up to 110's with a set of max powers or the MPD big single kit. That is just my .02

On a stock fuel system? Doubtful, max powers need fuel.

Mike@mpd is running a pretty large set of compounds, even the high pressure turbo was wayyyyyy larger the most use in a compound set up, both turbos were journal bearing and all he had was a lift pump, possibly ported rails. He is running a 72mm compressor on the high pressure turbo, haven't looked recently, but at one point elite biggest setup was running a 64 or 66mm vgt as the high pressure. You should have absolutely no problem spooling that with stock fuel

Ok, Mike is not running stock fuel. They might spool but more fuel makes them work much better. Why go so big if not going to get the most out of them?

Before i was running stock rails and hpfp and only the elite lp and the truck spooled just fine with the compounds

I am not saying that fuel isn't need to get the most out of the max powers but more fuel then air will already cause enough damage so just my opinion that for 6.4 go air and then fuel. And I know that you guys have been around the 6.4 more then I have, so my opinion is based only on what I have seen and experienced.

Exactly.... You can run them just fine with stock fuel. You're going to limit yourself around 700hp it seems but you can run some pretty large chargers on stock fuel. An 80 and 64mm setup would be a sick daily driver on stock fuel. You're not going to push the turbos near their capability but that's not necessarily a bad thing

I've got a dragonfire sitting in my office that I got from Aaron a while back if you want it. In the time since I bought it I've decided to run two pumps instead of one.

Thank you everyone for your advice. You guys saved me a lot of money that can be used to get more air... New compounds may be coming sooner than I expected!! :toast:
