Got some stuff done on my truck this weekend. Both heads are back on waiting on my valve covers to be painted and to get my intake back.
What is your guys opinion on leaving the heat shield out for the uppipes I'd like to leave it off. Input is appreciated.

If you cut the heat-shield it will still do its job and be easy to remove. On my latest truck the previous owner or his mechanic did it. I didn't even notice until I went in to replace the HPOP. I didn't take a pic of it, but the red marks on my last engine show where the cuts were made. If you ever need to get to the IPR, it makes it a lot easier.

Since I can't edit it into the last post, here is what it looks like with an IPR socket on it and 1/2 of the shield removed. With the Degas, FICM and the rear FICM support out of the way, you can see the edge of the remaining shield in the background.

I might cut it in half an see if I like it. I'm liking the idea of just getting it out of there all together looks cleaner. Plus I just ran it over with our skid steer on accident so it's a little smashed now.

Got a little done this weekend, prepped and painted the bottom of the cab looks pretty good I think.
Just waiting on my manifold then I can drop the cab back down and finish it up.

Oh man that looks awesome. Wish I had the space/equipment to do this myself. My underside on my truck needs a good cleaning/painting. Coming along nice!

Thanks guys!! Probably gonna drop the cab this weekend wire up the fuel pump and run my fuel lines.
Any input on how to wire the pump is appreciated I want it to turn on and off just like the factory one would. I'm thinking find the signal wire for the factory fuel pump and just use that with my own heavy duty relay and wires?

Some pics of the painted parts.

So just use the hot wire from the stock pump as the signal wire then?
Dropped the cab down tonight also should have it all buttoned up this weekend besides the intake manifold.
