I have my 14yr old nephew coming for a visit, he is having a rough time with family stuff. So to cheer him up, i told him we could take my truck to the track and do a 1/4 mile run for its first time. He has been running JR. dragsters for two years or so, but he is interested in getting into the aftermarket diesel world after high school. So i thought this would be a good idea to help encourage him, plus he can give his rookie uncle some tips...
so to the thread title:
I was going to ask for tips and guesstimations on times. But to make it more interesting and cuz everyone loves winning money........
Whoever guesses the right time, will win $40.00 of my hard earned money (payed via paypal)
Rules:
You get one guess
If two people guess the same time, we will have to go to my 60' time or if anyone has a better suggestion on a tie breaker, i'm all ears
05' f250 supercab long bed fx4
bfg all terrain T/A 285/70/r17, dont know my weight (only exterior add on would be a back rack) Everything will stay on the truck, spare, tailgate,etc...
vgtss, 155's, RR, stage 1 intake manifold, built trans and tc, sctx3 w/ xtreme street.
I'm either going to englishtown on Friday night or island dragway sunday afternoon...
Question: What should i launch at? 15psi, 18psi or would i go by rpm level? never been down the track before.
I made a so so attempt at work the other day doing a boosted launch in 2wd just to see what was what, i'll try and link the video (which is nothing special)
I wasn't sure if i should put this in the drag racing section or not??
