Rubbing noise on front passenger wheel

yeah, I bet it just got kicked up off the road somewhere. I hear ya on taking to Ford. I'd rather spend some time looking myself rather than letting it sit for a day or two then some 19 year old come back after two days and tell ya he doesn't know why its doing it.

    Changed a few filters today.....

I wasn't hunting this weekend, and instead of feeling sorry for myself because I'm still waiting on my King Shocks to get here, I decided to do a little maintenance on my 2011 6.7 I had bought a fuel/water filter kit, an oil filter and a new air filter, all Motorcraft from...

TX: Houston area: 08 polished 20's w/ new Goodyears

I've had both. For cleaning, the 2011's 20" are easier to clean, and shinier when they are clean. My 2009's were KR, so they were painted in the center of each spoke. they are both very cool for OEM.

Stick with current setup or 24" bmf?

idk, the chrome SOTAs are cool, but if you google the chrome, you can see lots of issue with peeling on BMF chromes that are 3 months old. I found some issues where guys have sent them back over and over and ended up with black. I have a Golden Bronze 2011 and I'm leaning towards the SOTA black...

    powdercoating bumper?

that won't work.... best bet is to get a ranch hand bumper and prime and paint, or blast the chrome off of yours and start with something that will bite and shoot it. But, unless you protect it with the clear-bra (or something like that) its going to be subject to chips, just like a factory...

    OEM wheels on MT's.....pics?

I couldn't imagine putting Grabbers on my SD. I put a set of 35's Grabbers on my Raptor and changed that ride big time... and the Raptor rides like dream compared to a SD. I swapped em back to the BFG's and I liked the truck again. lol.... no offense, those Grabbers were stiff life a mofo.

Best shocks for stock height truck?

for stock height trucks? sure. I ordered the King shocks because the stock Ranchos (oem ford with the Rancho sticker) suck!... I had 2 blown shocks at 6,000 miles. I bought a set of the 9000xls and they were crap too. On my 09 I had Fabtech 2.25 Dirt Logic, and there was a world of...

Best shocks for stock height truck?

cool, glad you found one that works for ya. I hit up Icon 2 weeks ago and they didn't even know how to respond, other than "nope". But glad you touched base with the right person. My Kings were built last week and I'm waiting to see em pull up. Ya gotta get some pics (pics or it didn't...

Valvoline 5W-40 Premium Blue is gold!

sounds about right to me.. good videos. by comparison, and variations on how things sound on video, I wonder what a vid of the original semi-syn Motorcraft oil sounded like? I did my first change at 5,000 then again at 10,000. I'm all for getting the truck quieter, I'm just wondering if its...

What Causes a Push Rod to Bend?

are the new ones any longer than the ones that are not bent? on the new ones (from what I can remember from 100 years ago), they have to have all the slack out of them, or they will jump. idk if its solid or hydraulic lifters.... its new to me

What Causes a Push Rod to Bend?

i think its bent. lol the piston probably whacked the valve. That kicked up the rocker arm while the cam was pushing up the pushrod and it bent. Why? timing more than likely. chain skipped a bit maybe? Hi RPM can cause "valve float" where the cam/crank is moving so fast, it can't keep up.
