    Torquing trac bar and pitman arm nut

    How does the DIYer accurately (or close enough) torque bolts/nuts such as the trac bar or pitman arm. I am talking about the DIYer that doesn't own a torque multiplier? (Anyone in So Cal want to loan me one?) Both are in the 350 - 400 lb ft range.

    2011+ axle swap question

    You can add the tone ring to the ring gear of the 11+. You will then have to drill the hole in the housing for the sensor and tap a hold for the hold down bolt. I have not done it yet, but others have done it. It's on my to do list when I swap in a 2015 axle that I have sitting in the garage.

    I have a Dana 60 I got to convert my 99 truck. The Axle Bill of Materials (BOM) is 2008007-1. When I look that up it corresponds to 2007-2008 Ford Front Axles. I always see reference to 2005-2007 front axles, then 2008-2010. So I surmise there is a difference between the 2007 and 2008. Looks...

    I started doing a little research on bed removal. Some folks say the bed bolts and nuts should not be reused. It seems the reason is because at the factory these bolts actually cut the threads into the nuts. Any thoughts on this? Maybe just make sure each bolt goes back into the same spot.
