    7.3 lift

The main problem on mine is the rear, but I just don’t feel like messing with it right now. (Changing the front was still a noticeable improvement.) When I first got the truck over 15 years ago it had stacked blocks for the rear lift (with the 6” front that I just took off) and I didn’t like it...

    7.3 lift

If you are still looking for input on the Icon leafs, I just put the 4” fronts under my truck this spring. I already had some Fox shocks (that need some attention) and I didn’t mess with my rear setup yet, but it rides noticeably better than the 6” Skyjacker setup that had been on there for 15+...

Trailer dealer says: "I can't sell you that 14K GVWR trailer, you are not licenced for it."

I think to some extent it may depend on what state you are in, but there is a reason you can buy a tag trailer with twin 7,000lb axles that has a GVWR of 9,900lbs. After a bunch of research prior to buying a trailer, my understanding has always been below 10,000lbs GVWR for a tag trailer, an RV...

    Bosch 044 info

Not sure why it took me so long to get them, but here are the pictures of my setup. Nothing special really. My post pump filter isn’t shown, but is right behind the oil filter on the bellhousing. Also can’t see the 5/8 pickup I put in either. So far so good, runs a rock steady 65psi on my...

    Bosch 044 info

The “044” is supposed to be 300LPH free flow and 200LPH at 72.5 psi or at least that’s what I keep seeing advertised. I’m not sure what the factory pump specs are. I was fully planning to go with the two parallel factory pumps, but I have a short wheelbase truck and didn’t really have room to...

    Bosch 044 info

I’ll see what I can do for pictures. The write up was an afterthought while I was thinking about how well it worked and why there was minimal info on it.

    Bosch 044 info

Just finished installing a Bosch “044” fuel pump and thought I would share the information I had learned in the process as there wasn’t much I could find searching all over the internet before I did it and would have appreciated a write up or two with some better information. I have no idea just...

    Decent Transmission Mount

I haven’t dug in for heavy research yet, but my understanding (and at least one Ford dealer online) is it is obsolete and no longer available. I guess I’ll run by the local dealer this week and see what I can find out in person. Any info on who made the original OEM? I did a bit of searching...

    Decent Transmission Mount

I can’t seem to get a decent lifespan out of the Anchor brand transmission mounts sold at the auto parts stores. Anyone have a source for a polyurethane one or something that holds up a bit better? My stocker made it 250,000+, but have had two in my truck in the last 60,000 or so miles. As far...

    Fox Shocks

Yep, got it squared away for the shocks. Thanks! Now to work on changing out the lift.

    Fox Shocks

Which is weird too. I'd think they would have matching sets rather than cobbling a set of four together from different manufacturers.

    Fox Shocks

I'm looking at getting some Fox 2.0 IFP Shocks for my 2000 F-350 (SRW), but planning on going down to a 4" Icon lift. I'm sure I'm missing something, but Fox's website says they don't make shocks for any bigger than a 3.5" lift. Other websites say they do, but I can find multiple part numbers...

Truck stalls when putting in drive

Do you have a truspeed or anything like that installed? Had a buddy that's failed and would cause his converter to lock up and stall as soon as he put it in gear. Got rid of that and it was good to go.

    Reverse Delay/Soft Engagement

No other real indications that anything is wrong, but that is a noticeable change in its operation. I'm wondering if there is a damaged or worn seal/valve/bore or something like that causing it to take a little extra time to build pressure in the reverse circuit, but I am not very familiar with...

    Reverse Delay/Soft Engagement

Thought about that and might just change it out to be safe, but it's only been in there for about 20,000 and never been above 170* (usually closer to 150*). Still red and smell like it should, but I suppose it's fairly cheap, would rule that out and won't hurt it anyway. I still have a hunch...

    03 F350 leaf spring question

Are you planning to go back to stock height? I'm currently looking to get a bit better ride myself (I've had a 6" with no blocks for about 10 years on mine as well) and think I'm going to go with a 4" Icon lift. Just having a hard time pulling the trigger without knowing how much better the ride...

    Reverse Delay/Soft Engagement

Lately my truck has been having a significant delay going into reverse and is very soft on the engagement when it does. This only happens on the first startup of the day and I get in a hurry and back up fairly quick after starting. If I let it sit and idle for a few minutes like I normally do...

    Emissions testing...

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like it might not be quite as bad as I thought. Maybe just go back to the smaller turbo exhaust housing (been wanting to do that anyway) and chase down my check engine light issue. And hope for the best. I guess I can always do whatever work to make it good if/when...

    Emissions testing...

So, I apologize right off the get go for my ignorance, but I have never been anywhere that required emissions testing and I just found out that I HAVE to move to Las Vegas. Assuming I register my truck there, it appears that I will have to undergo such horrors. So, for those of you "in the...

    Comp 910 Springs Good Enough?

Doubt it. It's the drive pressure numbers that usually matter (although there's nothing wrong with taking the intake valves into consideration too). That, along with installed height/seat pressure will give you a good idea whether or not they will do what you need. -Aaron
