need advice a.s.a.p. (tonight)
I've got about 150k miles on my reman O'Reilly's starter. Been doing just fine so far. It's been awhile since I replaced it, but I think mine might have been a 2 bolt too. -Aaron -
Urgent: Do I Have The Right Parts
FYI, my upper track bar nut plates did the same thing...one of the bolts was actually loose when I bought it. Not sure what you would want to call it, but you can go buy that plate with the two nuts tack welded to it at the dealer for a decent cost and swap it out. That was what I ended up...- GreenF350

Driveshaft question
Hmmm...Interesting. I kind of figured a recoat was out of the question. That should be easy enough if I can find a place. Splines at least WERE good, but it has some miles on it now. Guess we'll see. Thanks for the heads up. -Aaron -

Looks right to me too from the pictures. I know my buddies kit we installed came with two different sway bar links and said to match them to whatever type was on the truck, so might want to take a quick look there, but yours match the style on my truck. -Aaron- GreenF350

Driveshaft question
Yeah, I've towed a 35' flat bed gooseneck, but I am looking at a cargo style toy hauler trailer. Not sure how the part over the bed and/or the part behind the axles will do being hooked to my truck, the dovetail on the 35'er was low enough I had to pay real close attention how/where I went in... -

I don't WANT to lower it, but I'm planning to buy a decent sized gooseneck/fifth wheel trailer and will need to be able to tow it. Thanks for the compliment though. The plan as far as what? It won't be going any higher than it is now, in fact it MIGHT come down 2". I'm shooting to be about 500hp capable, but won't be racing or sped pulling. Turbo removal
Never done it on an OBS, but iirc basic hand tools will cut it. The first time I did mine I replaced the up-pipes too and removal/install took me all day. Tires...
They are just the "old" Goodyear MT's, they went away for the most part after they came out with the MT/R's. My experience with them (Had a few friends that ran them back in the day) was that they are similar to any other "road worthy" MT tires (BFG, Toyo, etc) in noise and wear similar too...- GreenF350

check coolant additive
Didn't know the 6.7's used coolant additive. I would imagine it is the same SCA that they all are supposed to use then, in which case you can get a bottle of test strips from your local autoparts store and check it yourself if you want to be sure. I would guess that it is fine with the miles... -
singles vrs splits
They are supposed to be louder at idle from everything I've read/heard/etc. I can't say 100% for sure though since Ihave no first hand experience. -Aaron- GreenF350

What would you pay???
How much would I pay? If it was in great shape and just high mileage I suppose I would give $5k-$6k max for that truck. I'm a 6.0 hater though. (No offense, just being honest). -Aaron -
How many miles, is too many miles?
IF it was taken care of well (which it doesn't really sound promising) then I wouldn't worry about 300k. Mine is at 253,000 now and is showing signs of injectors being worn, but wouldn't expect otherwise. Other than that, it runs and drives just fine. I've replaced the usual parts along the... -
Water pump leaking
Hopefully that takes care of it for you and the next one makes it more than 8k miles. I'm on my third water pump. Got about 150k out of the first one but only about 90k out of the second. Hopefully the third one's mileage goes back up again. -Aaron -

Ouch, why is it so rusty/corroded? What kind of coolant/coolant mixture were you using? Or do you think that's just from the refill of straight water when you were looking for the leak? -Aaron -

Haha, NICE truck Charles. It's definitely not a "low profile" tire either though. I did forget about "tractor" tires and the like. Touché good sir.
