Oh it's been chopped to a shortbed and its got 20s and a 06 front end LOL

You guys are right though.

You are talking about bkn's truck.

Even with all that is done to my truck and all I have on it if the trans took a dump I would let it go at $6k. I was only looking to get $9500 for it when I tried to sell. A truck isn't worth much to me if I can't test drive and run it like I would drive it. Has he done anything to the interior? I might go $3000 - $3500 on it chopped since it cost me $1100 to cut mine. Maybe a little more if the interior is upgraded.

IF it was taken care of well (which it doesn't really sound promising) then I wouldn't worry about 300k. Mine is at 253,000 now and is showing signs of injectors being worn, but wouldn't expect otherwise. Other than that, it runs and drives just fine. I've replaced the usual parts along the way, but the truck and engine is rock solid as far as I can tell and don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon.

Yes its bkns truck. This is exactly what I'm thinking. From what I know nothing is upgraded.

We've had several 7.3 go over 320k no issues. Now the f450 I have now I didn't know the history engine wise and it ended up loosing compression @ 285-290k. So we put a 160k mile engine in it. But the truck your talking about I would walk away from it. If you look you can get a decent turn key truck in the 3-4k range that is siniilar in miles etc

Honestly I wouldn't be worried about the motor at all. Several stock/tuned trucks on here are well passed 300k including mine. You say the trans is slipping, how bad does it slip, and does it slip in all the tunes? If you could run it in a mild tune and keep the trans happy until you could upgrade would be your best bet. You won't come across a more fun truck for cheap than a reg cab 2wd 7.3 with tunes on it IMO.

My e99 had 388k on original everything sans trans when I traded it in, and my room mate has a truck his work just bought with 758k on the original engine.

I can't wait to turn 300 on mine. It would be there if I was still daily driving it.

I am pretty sure this one that I have just needs injectors for the most part. It's over 300K and I'm pretty sure it's on the stock turbo and the fins look great, so I'm not too worried about the motor.
