You will be fine, I made several 200+ mi round trips up and down the Rockies with stage II singles on split shot tunes while waiting for a chip. The only adverse side affect is idle, period. And the tuner said I would be fine.- Big Bore

There is also no reason he shouldn't other than a crappy idle. IOW, he can still use his truck until he gets proper tuning for singles.- Big Bore

All the other rods Summit carries in that series are $1500, but of course they don't carry the 7.3 rod. I'm sure it would be a small thing for Summit to get them. Maybe a phone call is in order.- Big Bore

Fluid vs ATI dampener?
I'm still trying to figure out why we need one after seeing the rpm chart earlier. I can possibly justify using an ATI on an unbalanced stock block, but if you're balancing the rotating assembly I see no justification for spending the money on one. Yea I suppose I was being a bit conservative with my number lol. But how much does all that work cost do you think, and how much is a billet block? I'm still going to go with the DO guys have done a cost benefit analysis and decided not to go billet for a reason, they don't seem to have any...- Big Bore
